Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Cardwin Technologies Limited. By creating an account or using cardwin.africa you accept them, so please read them once, properly.
Effective 1 October 2026. Questions about this page? Contact support.
1. Who we are and what Cardwin does
Cardwin Technologies Limited (“Cardwin”, “we”, “us”), of 177, Bode Thomas Street, Lagos, runs cardwin.africa, a gift card marketplace for people across Africa. You can sell gift cards to Cardwin and be paid into a Cardwin wallet. Buying gift cards is coming soon and will be covered by these terms when it opens.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement.
- Give accurate details, keep them up to date and verify your email address. Some features, such as withdrawing, also need a verified phone number.
- One person, one account. Do not share your login, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account until you tell us it is compromised.
- Cardwin staff will never ask for your password, your two-step codes or a gift card code outside your transaction page.
3. Selling gift cards
Selling follows three terms you will see throughout the site: the gift card type (the brand, for example Amazon), the category (the exact product within that brand, for example USA Amazon E-Code) and the rate (the Naira paid for each 1 unit of the card's own currency).
- Rates. You see your rate for a category before you submit. Your rate is locked when you submit and stays fixed for that sale, even if rates change while the card is being checked. Rates can change at any time for new sales. A category with no rate is listed but cannot be sold until we set one.
- Fees. Any fee is shown in your quote before you submit. What you see as the amount you receive is what is credited if the card is approved.
- Verification. Every card is checked before any money moves. We may ask for more information, such as a clearer photo or the purchase receipt. See the Gift Card Selling Policy.
- Payment. When a card is approved, the amount is credited to your Cardwin wallet in the currency you chose for that sale. Nothing is credited for a card we reject.
- No cancellations. Once you submit a card you cannot cancel the sale. Check the category, value and code carefully first. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
4. Wallets and withdrawals
- You hold a separate wallet for each currency we support. A wallet can only be withdrawn to a payout account in the same currency.
- Each wallet has a minimum withdrawal, and withdrawals unlock after your first completed sale in that wallet. For security, some withdrawals, such as your first, may be reviewed before they are paid.
- You add payout details only when you withdraw. Make sure the account name, number or USDT address and network are correct. Money sent to a wrong account or the wrong USDT network usually cannot be recovered.
- Your wallet balance is not a bank deposit and does not earn interest.
- We may delay or refuse a withdrawal where we reasonably suspect fraud, where the law requires it, or while we complete a review. We will tell you why when we are able to.
5. Buying gift cards
When buying opens, prices are shown in your currency before you pay, and digital cards are delivered to your order page once payment is confirmed. Refunds are covered in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
6. Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In short: only sell cards that are yours, never submit stolen, redeemed or counterfeit cards, and never try to abuse or disrupt the service.
7. Suspending or closing accounts
We may pause, restrict or close an account, and hold related funds, if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken, a card was fraudulent, or we must do so by law. Where it is safe and lawful, we will explain the reason and release any funds that are properly yours. You can ask us to close your account at any time once your pending sales and withdrawals are settled.
8. Our responsibility
- We provide the service with reasonable care and skill but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
- We are not responsible for losses caused by incorrect details you give us, by a gift card issuer's own decisions (for example blocking or cancelling a card), or by events outside our reasonable control.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or our own negligence causing death or personal injury.
- Subject to that, our total liability to you for a claim is limited to the amount of the transaction the claim relates to.
9. Disputes
If something goes wrong, contact support with your transaction reference first. We will review it and reply with our decision. If you are still unhappy, you may escalate the matter to the courts or any regulator that has authority over your complaint. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without taking away any mandatory consumer rights you have in the country where you live.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service grows. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and email you about material changes. Continuing to use Cardwin after a change means you accept it.
